Pre-Shipment Battery Inspection: Turn Requirements into Records

A pre-shipment inspection is most useful when it checks the purchase order against observable results. Define the scope before production so the supplier and inspector know what evidence is expected.

Check the delivered identity

Compare model, serials, labels, firmware and quantities with the approved order. Verify accessories and document revisions. Record any substitution rather than assuming it is equivalent.

Define functional checks in advance

Agree which communication, alarm and charge/discharge checks will be performed. Energy tests require a defined method, operating conditions and acceptance threshold. Production photos alone do not show that those checks passed.

Document deviations before release

Record each nonconformity, required action and recheck result. Decide who can approve shipment release. Keep the report with the packing list and order reference so later service can trace the supplied batch.
