Battery Cables: What to Specify in a Quotation

“Cables included” is an incomplete line on a quotation. A useful accessory specification identifies what is supplied, how it terminates and which installation conditions it is intended to serve.

Define the physical requirement

State the proposed cable route and required length, terminal or connector type, quantity and end identification. The installer should provide the sizing requirement after reviewing current, voltage drop and installation method.

Define the installation boundary

Confirm whether the quoted set connects only battery to inverter or also includes parallel links, earthing and protection-related connections. Ask whether lugs are fitted, whether hardware is included and where torque instructions are documented.

Check substitutions before shipment

A connector or cable change can affect serviceability and approval. Require any proposed substitution to be reviewed before packing. Keep the final accessory list with the model and manual revision for repeat orders.

Details to confirm

  • Cable quantity and length
  • Conductor and terminal specification
  • Included hardware and instructions
  • Connection boundary and exclusions

Can I order by battery kWh alone?

No. Stored energy does not define cable size. Current, voltage, route and installation conditions are also needed.

Product and project review

See the related Graspmart battery specifications and compare the available capacities. Use the reference data to shortlist a platform, then confirm the exact production model, accessories and operating limits in the quotation.

Send the inverter model, destination, quantity and the requirements listed above through the project enquiry form. Include existing equipment details when the battery is being added to an installed system.
